My name is Mary! I am an American living in Italy, originally from the Baltimore/Washington, DC area. With my dad as a hotel executive, I grew up in the travel industry. The majority of our family vacations were to places where his company had hotels, or where his colleagues had hotels. Some of these were very prestigious properties and included destinations such as London, the Bahamas, Miami, and the Carolina coast. When I was 10, my grandparents started a tradition by taking their grandchildren on an international trip, and mine was to London, Paris, and Rome. I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Political Science and a couple of years later, in 2013, I had a deep desire to travel and see the world. Originally I planned to spend a few months teaching English in Rome and traveling around Europe, but then life had other plans in store for me once I met my Italian husband! Now years later, I am still living in Italy near the Amalfi Coast with my husband and children, living la dolce vita! Over the years, I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, southeast Asia, northern Africa, and the Caribbean. I have travel experience ranging from budget backpacking in hostels to luxury 5 star resorts and everything in between!
